Alberta campgrounds

Alberta campgrounds, both private and provincial, are preparing themselves for the opening day of camping season in this area: the May long weekend. With the exception of the beachcombing being done here by staff member Murray Richardson, most of the preparatory work at Brewer’s Campground in the Aspen Beach Provincial Park has been completed. Campers are reminded that there will a complete alcohol ban in effect over the long weekend. A fire ban has not yet been implemented. In the West Country, forestry officials and a group of oilfield companies are teaming up to reduce the trash explosions that usually accompany the weekend.
