Clearview Public Schools has announced that Cindy Zimmermann has been selected as the recipient of the 2020 Clearview Star Award.
The award recognizes staff and community members who have made significant contributions to their school communities through volunteerism or as a community partner.
“Our students and school communities are truly enriched by the work of volunteers such as Cindy Zimmermann. Supporting the literacy of our students is so very fundamental to their future success,” says Clearview Schools superintendent Peter Barron.
“Thanks to Cindy, students will have improved life chances and opportunities.”
A former William E. Hay Stettler Secondary Campus graduate, Zimmermann went on to pursue her own seamstress business. She also raised her two sons in Clearview Public Schools and was an active and supportive parent.
Recently, Zimmermann went back to further her education in an online teacher training program, allowing her to stay in Stettler. She has also gone with Teachers Across Borders to share her talents for a semester in Vietnam.
