Areas of the Collicutt Centre’s water park will be closed for unexpected repairs to its main circulation pump on Monday.
The pump controls the circulation for the wave pool, water slide and the lazy river. These areas will be closed for the day. The hot tubs, interactive play area and steam room will remain open.
Collicutt Centre supervisor Denis Delemont said the part is usually repaired or maintained during the three-week shutdown in September.
Last September there was no work done because it was functioning well. He said it is best to fix it now as opposed to waiting until September.
All swimming lessons that day will be cancelled and patrons will be reimbursed for the missing lesson in the form of a refund or credit on their account.
The park is expected to reopen on Tuesday.
