The intersection of Ross Street and 40 Ave. in Red Deer will be closed for a four-day period later this month.

Drivers are advised of the road closure starting at 6:00 p.m. on May 28, until 6:00 a.m. on May 31.

The intersection will be closed as crews complete underground work for the widening of the intersection. Detours will be in place at 50A St., 41 Ave., 47 St. and 39 Ave.

Following this closure, there will be intermittent lane closures lasting into early July as crews work to add left-turning lanes to Ross Street. Project updates can be found on the city website at reddeer.ca/constructionseason.

Pedestrians and drivers are reminded to slow down in construction areas and obey all signs. All road construction is weather dependent and schedules may be subject to change.
