Two lane closures will be impacting Red Deer motorists in the downtown area over the next few days.
Until 4 p.m. on Oct. 18, 47th Avenue will be closed between 47th Street and 49th Street while crews work on water and sanitary infrastructure in the area.
Another road closure along 49th Street is scheduled from Oct. 17 to 21. The right lane of 49th Street near 50A Street will be closed as crews work on stormwater infrastructure in the area.
Both projects are weather dependent, and schedules may change.
Signs will be in place in both locations and drivers are reminded to slow down and obey all signs when driving in construction zones.
