Police are on the hunt for a male suspect after a Red Deer convenience store was robbed at knifepoint on Thursday.

At about 4 a.m., Red Deer City RCMP responded to a robbery with a weapon at the Mac’s Convenience Store on Ross Street.

A male entered the convenience store with his face covered. He brandished a knife and demanded money. The employees complied and the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as short and believed to be Caucasian.

He was wearing a black CANADA hoodie and had a blue bandana covering his mouth.
