Charge of counselling to commit murder dismissed

A Lacombe man accused of trying to have someone killed had the charge against him dismissed in court.

Robert John Bjorkman was facing a charge of counselling to commit murder in connection with alleged incidents on April 2 and April 13 last year. He was arrested on July 28 following an investigation by Lacombe Police Service and Red Deer RCMP.

A preliminary hearing had been scheduled for last Friday in Red Deer provincial court, when the charge was dismissed.
