Just under 1,000 runners inspect the trails near Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School in Red Deer on Thursday prior to the Central West Alberta Junior High Athletic Association cross-country finals. For Grade 6 and 7 students, a two-km course was set out, while the Grade 8 and 9 students faced a more difficult three-km course, with another hill added to keep them on their toes. This year’s event was organized by staff at Camille J. LeRouge School.
