COVID-19 testing and immunizations in Red Deer will be back in the same location at the end of the month.
Alberta Health Services announced Wednesday that COVID-19 immunization will be moving to 1780 49 Ave. on Nov. 30. This follows the move of COVID-19 testing services to this location in October.
According to a release, “the new location provides sufficient space to accommodate the current demand for both services, with the ability to expand, and offer increased capacity, if needed. Both operations will continue to be provided in line with all applicable public health measures.”
Health Link and the Alberta Vaccine Booking System will be updated to reflect the changes.
Residents booked for immunizations starting Dec. 1 will be notified of the new location for their appointment by SMS and email reminders.
AHS is asking that all individuals wait in their cars until five minutes before their appointment time, and not to arrive more than 10 minutes early.
