Cow Patti dinner theatre has settled into its home for its 2022-23 season.

The live theatre company will welcome audiences to its new permanent location, the Tin Roof Event Centre, located five minutes northeast of Lacombe, just off Highway 2.

“We started working with the family at Tin Roof last season. We came to the conclusion that the space gave us more opportunity to grow shows, to have better visibility for our audience members, and to welcome everyone to an accessible space for folks from all corners of Alberta,” said Cow Patti Theatre Company in a statement.

“Though there’s been two-and-a-half years of uncertainty, we’ve weathered the storms and have “moo-ved” forward in continue to produce high quality entertainment, using our solid roots as our strengths, along with our wild and wacky theatre family.”

New this season, each Thursday the theatre will offer the choice of dinner theatre, or just a show, so audience members can find a price to meet their budget.

Cow Patti’s 26th season kicks off with a Canadian curling comedy love story Hurry Hard, written by Kristen Da Silva. After a rocky divorce splits up Bill and Sandy, and their championship curling tea, battles continue on and off the ice as they face the most important bonspiel of the year.

Hurry Hard won the Tom Hendy Award from the Playwrights Guild of Canada and also took home the Stage West Award for Best New Comedy.

Cow Patti’s production of Hurry Hard, starring AnnaMaria Lea, Brian Young and Susan Greenfield, runs from Nov. 17 to Dec. 18.

The second show of the season Doris & Ivy in the Home, by Norm Foster, runs from March 9 to April 3 and follows the antics of Doris Mooney, a retired prison guard, and Ivy Hoffbauer, a former champion skier, who become friends at their Canmore retirement home and attract the attention of a dapper suitor.
