Cowboy Kicks raises $285,000

Second annual fundraiser benefitted Westerner Foundation and Canadian Rodeo Historical Association

Cowboy Kicks was a foot stompin’ success raising $285,000 for the Westerner Foundation and the Canadian Rodeo Historical Association.

“The Cowboy Kicks Committee extends its deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s event,” said committee chair Kathy Lacey.

“For the second straight year, the central Alberta community stepped up to provide generous support of our event and charities. We are so grateful for our sponsors, donors, artists, volunteers and attendees for supporting the Westerner Foundation and Canadian Rodeo Historical Association, this year’s charity of choice.”

Cowboy Kicks serves as a major fundraiser for the Westerner Foundation, allowing them to fulfill their mission of promoting, fundraising, and investing in initiatives that ensure the future sustainability of Westerner Park.

The 2022 inaugural Cowboy Kicks event raised more than $650,000.

The committee says this year’s achievement of $285,000 further solidifies the event’s commitment to giving back to the community and supporting essential causes.
