The 2023 CPKC Holiday Train will arrive in Central Alberta on Dec. 7 to raise money and food for local food banks.
At each stop, the Canadian band Anyway Gang will play a free concert from the train’s brightly decorated stage.
The railway network CPKC, a combination of Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern, and will make a donation to the local food bank at each stop and will also encourage attendees to donate.

This year the Holiday Train will tour Canada and the United States from Nov. 20 to Dec. 19, and the trail will stop in Central Alberta at the following locations:
• Dec. 7 in Camrose. Arrival time - 1:05 p.m. Event from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m. at 52 Avenue and 50 Street next to Moose Family Centre in the open field adjacent to rail track.
• Dec. 7 in Wetaskiwin. Arrival time - 3:25 p.m. Event from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. at CPKC ES Building 4009 50 Street.
• Dec. 7 in Ponoka. Arrival time - 5 p.m. Event from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. at 50 Street and 47 Avenue.
• Dec. 7 in Lacombe. Arrival time - 6:50 p.m. Event from 7 to 7:30 p.m. at Len Thompson Fish Pond.
• Dec. 7 in Blackfalds. Arrival time - 8:05 p.m. Event from 8:15 to 8:45 p.m. at CPKC tracks at Gregg Street between Broadway Avenue and East Avenue.
• Dec. 8 in Innisfail. Arrival time - 12:45 p.m. Event from 12:55 to 1:25 p.m. at 50 Street railway crossing.
• Dec. 8 in Olds. Arrival time - 2:20 p.m. Event from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at 50 Street level railway crossing.
• Dec. 8 in Didsbury. Arrival time - 3:30 p.m. Event from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m. at CPKC tracks, 20 Street and 18 Avenue.
