From hack to hog line, about 40 young curlers were learning the basics of the game during a free curling clinic on Tuesday night. The Red Deer Curling Club is hosting a number of clinics this week, including the junior clinic on Tuesday where Erica Watts, left, Sydney Cummings, Sydney Hetu-McLean, Brayden Sandquist and Kolby Clark followed the lead of their instructor Lori Watts, learning the tricks to sweeping. On Wednesday, the club hosted an adult strategy session while on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m., the club will host a free family session. The free curling clinics have been sponsored by the Primary Care Network. For information on the clinics, go to the club website at reddeercurling.ca or call 403-346-3777.
