Pump up those tires. Oil that chain.

The Red Deer Association for Bicycle Commuting is encouraging local cyclists to give the 30 Days of Biking challenge a spin.

30 Days of Biking is a pledge to ride your bike every day in April and share your adventures using the hashtag #30daysofbiking.

There’s no minimum distance. Just hop on and pedal — every day.

The event is also a fundraiser for World Bicycle Relief. For every two pledges, $1 is donated to the charity. Go to www.30daysofbiking.com for more information.

Red Deer’s bicycle commuting group has organized a fun ride on April 29. It takes off from G.H. Dawe Community Centre at noon.
