Extreme cold warning lifted for Red Deer and central Alberta, Environment Canada reports

It’s still cold, but on its way to getting better.

The extreme cold warning issued for Red Deer and various parts of central Alberta including Red Deer County, Lacombe, County of Stettler and so on for almost a week has been lifted.

Red Deerians woke up to a mix of sun and cloud Sunday with wind southeast 20 km/hr and high of - 13 C and windchill of -37 C.

Sunday afternoon expect -20 C with a risk of frostbite.

Sunday night Red Deerians will experience -15 C rising to -8 C by the morning. Windchill expected to hover around -23 C in the evening and -17 C overnight.

Monday morning Red Deerians will wake up to -1 C with windchill of -17 C.
