A mule deer leaps across Piper Creek after it was startled by a runner on the Waskasoo Park trails Tuesday. The doe was one of half a dozen deer foraging for food along open stretches near Kin Kanyon. Foraging will become easier once the forecast chinook hits in full force Thursday when the temperature is expected to reach 5 C.
