PHOTO: Demolition of former RCMP station nearing end

Demolition of the old downtown police station is nearing the end to make room for the $97-million Red Deer Justice Centre.

Much of the former downtown RCMP detachment building is gone. Ground breaking for the new centre is expected to happen this fall.

The new justice complex will replace the existing courthouse. It will have 12 courtrooms, with the capacity to increase it to up to 16 in the future.
