Residents in downtown Red Deer are being asked to prepare for a planned power outage Sunday.
In a press release Thursday, the city said the outage will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m, affecting some residences in the northern area of downtown. Businesses and residents who will be affected will receive notices in advance of the outage.
As a result of the outage, some traffic signals will be out of service. Drivers are reminded to treat uncontrolled intersections as a four-way stop and yield the right-of-way to drivers on the right.
