Drive safe: Icy road conditions near Red Deer and Blackfalds

The RCMP are warning drivers to slow down and use extra caution when travelling on area highways.

The QEII between Blackfalds and Red Deer is extremely icy.

The RCMP have responded to cars in the ditch and collisions in the area.

“We want everyone to make it to their destination safely” says Staff Sergeant Dan Martin of Blackfalds RCMP Detachment. “Help yourself out, and everyone else, by slowing down and driving according to these conditions.”
