The male driver of a vehicle was killed in an early morning collision Monday.

Red Deer RCMP responded at about 2 a.m. to a single-vehicle collision on Taylor Drive, between 45th and 47th streets.

The lone male occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not provide his age or hometown.

“Red Deer RCMP continue to investigate; however, weather and road conditions do not appear to be factors related to this incident, and it does not appear to be criminal in nature,” said police.
