Drugs seized in central Alberta town

Drumheller RCMP seized fentanyl and other drugs at a residence where a stolen vehicle was located on Feb. 12.

RCMP said 20.6 g of fentanyl, 12.7 g of methamphetamine, and 16.5 g of cocaine was found after a residence was searched.

Police said a woman inside the home was arrested after she was found to have outstanding warrants from Drumheller and Calgary. She also had the key for the stolen vehicle.

Carrie Garson, 22, of Drumheller, has been charged possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime not exceeding $5,000, possession of a stolen identity document, possession of ammunition contrary to order, failing to attend court, uttering threats, two counts of failing to comply with probation order, and four counts of failing to comply with a release order.

Garson was remanded into custody and was set to appear in Strathmore provincial court on Feb. 16.
