With winter just around the corner and recent freezing temperatures providing ideal conditions for making snow, Canyon Ski Resort got a jump on the season and began to blow out a blanket of the white stuff this week.
Here, resort general manager David Martel, staff member Calvin Coleman and ski hill mascot Bernard check the consistency of the snow being blown from one of the many snow guns on the property Tuesday morning.
Weather permitting, the staff are planning to continue making snow up until the planned opening day of Nov. 16.
