A tip from Australian police has led to child pornography charges against an Eckville man.

An arrest came after the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams’ internet child exploitation unit received information from the Queensland Police Service about an Alberta suspect allegedly involved in trading child pornography images online.

The unit searched homes in Eckville and Fox Creek associated with the suspect. A number of computers and electronic devices were seized and submitted for forensic analysis.

Christopher Juneau was arrested Jan. 10 with the assistance of Sylvan Lake RCMP. He was charged with making child pornography, possessing child pornography, accessing child pornography, and voyeurism.

Juneau was arrested for a second time on Jan. 18 by Sylvan Lake RCMP for allegedly breaching his release conditions relating to internet access.
