Edmonton police determine recent deaths of two women, one man are homicides

EDMONTON — Police in Edmonton say they have determined three deaths over the last two months in the city were homicides.

Officers doing a welfare check found 74-year-old Franklin Delano Hudson dead inside his downtown home on Nov. 12.

The next day, police were called to a northwest neighbourhood where they found a dead woman outside.

She was identified as 35-year-old Rebecca Hunter.

And on Dec. 3, paramedics were called to a home in the Duggan neighbourhood on the city’s south side.

Breianna Schamber, who was 25, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released how the three died and say they continue to investigate.
