EMS respond to collision in downtown Red Deer

Red Deer RCMP and EMS responded to a collision Monday evening.

A white pickup truck was upside-down and a car had heavy fire damage at the scene of the collision, next to Sorensen Station in downtown Red Deer.

As of 6 p.m., 48 Street south of the station and 49 Avenue to the west had been completely blocked off. Just before 6 p.m., the City of Red Deer said the roads were expected to be blocked off for an hour.

No more information was available Monday.
