Erin Forbes will be the new executive director for Dress for Success Central Alberta.
The non-profit organization made the announcement on Tuesday, citing Forbes’ wealth of experience with non-profits as a strong attribute for the group.
Board Chair Crystal Cawsey said, “We are thrilled to welcome Erin Forbes as the new Executive Director of Dress for Success Central Alberta,” said board chair Crystal Cawsey.
“Her extensive experience in non-profit management, marketing, and fundraising will be invaluable to our organization as we continue to support and empower women in our community. We look forward to working with Erin and seeing her passion and skills in action.”
Forbes has previously worked as the Resource Development Manager at United Way Central Alberta and as the Fund Development, Marketing & Communications Manager for the Red Deer Hospice Society.
She has a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and has received training in change management and leadership development. She is also an active member of the Red Deer & District Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Prior to her work in the non-profit sector, Erin co-owned and operated Craft Beer Nation with her husband, Josh, until its sale in 2021. Erin currently resides in Red Deer with her husband and two children. She is deeply invested in her community and believes in the value of partnerships and engagement.
As executive director, Forbes will oversee all aspects of Dress for Success Central Alberta’s operations, including program development, fundraising, and community engagement. Her background in non-profit leadership and management will be invaluable in guiding the organization’s mission of providing women with the tools and resources they need to succeed in their professional lives.
