Eskimos’ Gesse to sign autgraphs on Ross Street Patio Thursday

A meet and greet with Edmonton Eskimo linebacker Joash Gesse will be held at the Ross Street Patio on Thursday.

A meet and greet with Edmonton Eskimo linebacker Joash Gesse will be held at the Ross Street Patio on Thursday.

The Red Deer Downtown Business Association and the Eskimos have teamed up to offer the special event to bring Canadian football closer to Red Deerians.

Gesse, 28, will be on hand to sign autographs and to talk football starting at 4 p.m.

There will be giveaways and refreshments.

Montreal-born Gesse was drafted by the B.C. Lions in 2010. He has played 40 career games. This year, he will enter his fifth season and his second with the Eskimos.
