Two men have been charged in relation to break and enter and thefts that had been occurring in the Bowden area after witnesses reported suspicious activity to RCMP.

Olds RCMP said that they went to Bowden on the morning of Jan. 26 after eye witnesses reported seeing suspects moving items between two pickup trucks. Police located one of the vehicles and the male driver was arrested for possession of stolen property. The male passenger was also arrested after police found narcotics in the truck.

Additional searches incidental to the arrests led to recovered stolen property, implicating the suspects in investigations over the previous two weeks in Bowden and the surrounding area.

A 24-year-old Bowden man has been charged with two counts of possession of property and two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and cannabis hash). A charge of possession of stolen property was also laid against a 23-year-old resident of Bowden.
