Rob Kallos of Red Bone Design in Red Deer looks to artist Andi Murray on the ground for direction as he and his fellow employees Bonnie and Jake Kallos hang one of 15 large faces that will adorn the north side of the Family Services of Central Alberta building at 5409 50th Ave. in Red Deer. The purpose of the mural is threefold, said FSCA executive director Walter Lidster. Making the building more family friendly, showing people passing by that it is a family friendly neighbourhood, and helping to reduce crime in the area were all concerns when the design of the mural was considered, said Lidster. Anyone southbound on Gaetz Avenue will not be able to miss the colourful mural that stretches the length of the building, depicting people of many cultures.
