Noah Pierce and Ayva Howell, both six, scrub socks on washboards at Sunnybrook Farm Museum recently. The G.H. Dawe Elementary School kindergarten class also got a taste of butter and bannock they made themselves during a morning at the south Red Deer farm that was homesteaded by James Bower in 1899. More than 2,000 pre-school through Grade 5 children will learn about pioneer life this spring through the museum’s A Day At The Farm program.
