The fifth annual Christmas Wish Breakfast will look a little different this year.
The event will be held as a takeaway, drive-thru pancake breakfast. It will be held Nov. 22 from 8 to 11 a.m. at Westerner Park.
Community members can donate a new, unwrapped toy, which will be provided to the Salvation Army and the Red Deer Christmas Bureau.
Organizers will also hold a 50/50 raffle this year, with proceeds going to the two charities.
“With the generous support of our community, countless families and children can enjoy their Christmas,” organizers said in a release.
“Due to COVID-19, in 2020, the increasing need for families in our community who require assistance at Christmastime is greater than ever.”
