Olympic fans can watch torchbearers carry the flame through the city at two locations on Jan. 15.

The 2010 Olympic torch departs Red Deer College at 6:15 p.m. via 32nd Street and Gaetz Avenue and will arrive at Westerner Park at 7 p.m.

People can line the west side of Gaetz Avenue between 32nd and 19 streets from 6:25 to 6:50 p.m. or they can head to the Westerner Park to see the torch enter the celebration site at 7 p.m.

Along Gaetz, people are reminded to use caution as traffic moves along the torch route, use crosswalks to cross Gaetz and refrain from standing in the median.

Gaetz Avenue viewing is not recommended for children under 15.

The Olympic Torch Relay Community Celebration at Westerner Park runs from 5 to 9 p.m. with entertainment and activities for the whole family.

Parking at the Westerner is limited. Barrier-free Park N Ride services will be available from Parkland Mall and Notre Dame High School.
