Fire advisory in effect for Rocky Mountain House Forest Area

With warm temperatures and windy conditions on the way, Alberta Wildlife has placed a fire advisory on Rocky Mountain House Forest Area.

With warm temperatures and windy conditions on the way, Alberta Wildlife has placed a fire advisory on Rocky Mountain House Forest Area.

Existing fire permits are still valid but no new permits will be issued until the advisory is lifted.

Safe wood campfires, backyard fire pits, portable propane fire pits, gas or propane stoves and barbecues catalytic or infrared-style heaters are allowed at this time.

The fire advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve.

There are currently five wildfires in the Forest Protection Area (FPA) of Alberta.
