A fire advisory for the Rocky Mountain House forest area has been lifted due to favourable conditions.

A fire advisory for the Rocky Mountain House forest area has been lifted due to favourable conditions.

There are currently two wildfires in the Rocky Mountain House forest area. Since March 1, there have been 24 wildfires in the Rocky Mountain House forest area, burning a total of 55.35 hectares.

There are currently 15 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area of Alberta. One of these wildfires is being held, eight are under control and six have been turned over to the responsible party.

There have been 217 wildfires in the FPA, burning a total of 882.25 ha., since the beginning of March.
