Fire destroyed a mobile home in Olds early Friday morning.

Olds Fire Department was dispatched at about 1:15 a.m. to a mobile home at 5103 61 Ave. and arrived to find the structure fully involved. Fire was venting from the back of the home.

The lone occupant was able to get out, and was treated and transported to hospital for undisclosed injuries.

Damage to the mobile home was extensive and considered a total loss. Radiant heat exposure caused damage to the siding of two neighbouring homes. Damage was estimated at about $100,000.

Fourteen firefighters were on the scene for four hours to contain the fire and secure the site.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
