Fire destroyed a home in Lacombe County on Friday.
Due to the severity of the blaze, a call went out to Bentley, Clive and Mirror fire departments to join Lacombe firefighters battling the fire at 26203 Milton Road.
Four cats died in the fire. No other injuries were reported.
Firefighters fought the fire in -37C weather with severe windchill and in deep snow around the house.
