A group of local female gun enthusiasts will come together next month for the fourth annual Ladies’ Range Day.

On Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., women from across Alberta are invited to attend sessions throughout the day to discuss firearms, with a focus on safety in central Alberta.

The event hosted by Red Deer Fish and Game Association, Red Deer and District Chapter SCI and Wolverine Guns and Tackle will also include archery this year.

Participants will safely handle shotguns, shoot rifles, bows and handguns.

Registration for the event at the Red Deer Fish and Game Association outdoor gun range is $80 and includes lunch.
