RCMP arrested five suspects after an alleged abduction in Ponoka on Wednesday afternoon.
Ponoka RCMP say at about 1 p.m., four individuals gained entry to a home and forcibly removed a 23-year-old man.
The victim was taken to another residence.
As part of the investigation, police established surveillance where the victim was believed to be held.
The victim was later observed being taken from that home into a vehicle. That vehicle was intercepted and five suspects were arrested.
Police said it appears to be a targeted event and there was no danger to the public.
Charges are pending.
