Five positive COVID-19 cases at Points West Living Red Deer

Points West Living in Red Deer has a small COVID-19 outbreak.

Points West Living in Red Deer has a small COVID-19 outbreak.

There are five COVID-19 positive residents, with two in the hospital. The outbreak has been contained to one floor and eight people are quarantining, including the positive cases. No employees have tested positive for the virus.

There are a number of other supportive living facilities in the Central zone listed on the Alberta Health outbreak list.

Facilities are on the list when they have two or more COVID-19 cases are outbreaks are not declared over until four weeks passed since the last case was identified.

Those facilities include Aspen Ridge by Revera in Red Deer, Bashaw Meadows in Bashaw, Eckville Manor House in Eckville, Extendicare Michener Hill in Red Deer, Michener Services – Michener Terrace in Red Deer, Mountain View Seniors’ Housing in Sundre, Mount View Lodge in Olds, Peace Hills Lodge in Wetaskiwin, Points West Living in Stettler, Points West Living in Wetaskiwin, Royal Oak in Lacombe, Seasons Olds Encore in Olds, Seasons Ponoka in Ponoka, Sunset Manor in Innisfail, The Hamlets at Red Deer in Red Deer County, The Manor at Park Avenue in Rocky Mountain House, Valley View Manor in Rimbey and Victoria Park Lodge in Red Deer.
