Free concert in Red Deer to raise money for classrooms in Afghanistan

A Better World’s latest fundraising concert on April 7 will feature both the classics and new music.

The concert will feature two local youth orchestras – Red Deer Youth and Community Orchestra and Rosedale Valley String Orchestra. It will also feature a youth choir ‘Ilhana’ at First Church of the Nazarene in Red Deer at 7 p.m.

Favorite works by Ginastera, Beethoven, and Warlock will be presented, along with original and contemporary compositions, that will delight a range of musical tastes.

The fundraiser will raise money for 100 Classrooms Project by A Better World.

Admission to the concert is free. Donations are accepted.

Attendees can bid on items during intermissions at a silent auction at the event.
