Free recreation offered during Seniors Week

City recreation facilities offer free admission to seniors June 2-8

The City of Red Deer is saluting seniors by offering free admission to recreation facilities and drop-in programs during Seniors Week.

Seniors over the age of 65 years can drop in any time June 2 to 8 to take part in dozens of activities in the pools, gyms or fitness centres.

Seniors can visit the Collicutt Centre, G.H. Dawe Community Centre, Michener Aquatic Centre and the Recreation Centre.

“The city is pleased to provide this free opportunity for Red Deer seniors — it’s a chance to showcase the wide variety of programs offered in city recreation facilities that support healthy active aging,” says recreation superintendent Barb McKee.
