Garage sale season is not over.
Get ready for The Friends of the RDRHC Charity Garage Sale, to be held Sept. 29 and 30, at #6 and #7 at 7110 50th Ave.
Richelle Belzerowski, executive director of Friends of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, said it’s not too late for Central Albertans to donate gently used items to the sale to support their local hospital.
People and groups that have held garage sales are also encouraged to donate their leftover items. Mattresses and electronics will not be accepted.
Donations will be accepted until Sept. 28. To schedule a drop-off time, call 403-343-4520.
Friends of the RDRHC focuses on enhancing patient care and comfort by raising money for essential equipment, services and supplies.
The charity operates Present Trends Gift Shop, Cafe VA and Jolt N Bolt at the hospital to raise funds for patient care.
Belzerowski said in recent years COVID-19 reduced the number visitors and administrative staff at the hospital which impacted the number of people using the charity’s services. While the hospital is now back to normal, the charity was impacted and Central Albertans can help by supporting the annual garage sale.
