Three days wasn’t enough time to sell all the items available at the Friends of the Red Deer Regional Hospital’s annual garage sale.

So, the sale will continue July 10.

“We’ve got so much stuff, we thought we should do it all over again, and people still want to donate,” said Richelle Belzerowski, the group’s executive director.

“We still have a lot of treasures here. This is the fourth year we’ve done this event.”

A few safety restrictions were in place during the sale, which ran Thursday to Saturday at 7110 50th Ave.

Attendees had to wear face masks and sanitize their hands when coming into the building, and no more than 15 people were admitted at once.

Anyone interested in donating more items for the July 10 sale is asked to bring items to the same location on 50th Avenue.

This year’s garage sale received more donations than past events, said Belzerowski.

“I think that’s because everyone was stuck at home and they started purging. There’s nothing else to do.”

All money raised goes to “patient care and comfort” at the hospital, Belzerowski said.
