A frost advisory is in effect for Central Alberta.
Environment Canada issued the advisory at 3:40 p.m. Saturday afternoon for several communities in the area, including Red Deer, Lacombe and Stettler.
“Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas,” Environment Canada said on its website.
“Patchy frost is expected tonight as temperatures drop to near or below zero. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.”
Saturday night is expected to be partly cloudy with a low of -1 C. Sunday is expected to have a daytime high or 17 C and a nighttime low of 2 C.
