G.H. Dawe Community Centre seeks food vendor

Facility undergoing a major expansion expected to be finished next spring

The City of Red Deer is looking for a food vendor at G.H. Dawe Community Centre.

A request for proposals has been issued for a food service lease space at the facility at 56 Holt St.

The facility is undergoing a major expansion with a second NHL-size arena being built and expected to be ready next spring. The expansion will also see the fitness area increased in size and a track and fitness studios, outdoor spray park and pool deck party room added.

“With a projected increase in drop-in usage, group bookings, large sport competitions and hosted events, a diverse food service tenant will be key to patron satisfaction,” says the city in an announcement.

St. Patrick’s Community School and a branch of Red Deer Public Library are also part of the facility.

Those interested in bidding can go to the city’s tender website.
