Red Deer gas prices fall as provincial tax removed

On April 1, Albertans saw gasoline prices drop when the province followed through on its promise to stop collecting a 13-cents-per-litre gas tax in an effort to give people with some relief at the pumps.

Alberta will continue to provide the tax relief as long as the average price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) — considered the global benchmark price for oil — remains above $90 US per barrel.
