The Read for 15 Challenge happens Friday in advance of Family Literacy Day on Sunday.
People are asked to read anything for 15 minutes and then report it on social media, in person, by phone or on the Red Deer Public Library’s website.
Readers will be tallied per capita, and the library with the most readers will be recognized and receive a trophy.
Readers are asked to use #readfor15RDPL on Twitter and Instagram. Post to Facebook and tag the library, or post to the library’s Facebook page. Readers can tell staff at any of the three branches about their participation in the challenge, or call 403-346-4576.
People can also report their 15 minutes at www.rdpl.org.
