The Golden Circle Senior Resource Centre will have a new executive director next month.

Wednesday, the organization announced that Amber Mack would be the new executive director, effective Feb. 8.

“Amber is a dedicated community builder, and her compassionate leadership will represent our seniors and the organization with professionalism and enthusiasm as we continue our commitment to serving the needs of older adults, people with disabilities 18+, and citizens in our community and surrounding areas, while adapting to the challenges and opportunities during the ongoing pandemic,” the release states.

Mack takes over for Monica Morrison, who retired after 10.5 years in the position.

Mack was a former board member on various committees, including the Central Alberta Humane Society, Rotary Club of Red Deer Urban Spirits, Women For Humane Canada and the United Way Kick Off Lunch. She was also a director for the Canadian Mental Health Association Board.
