The Russian Christmas celebration in the Snell Auditorium at the Red Deer Public Library recently attracted close to 100 people looking to celebrate the festive season in their traditional style. Due to past political regimes in Russia, which disallowed religious references during this time of year, the people incorporated New Year’s as the main reason for celebration. Here, we have Grandfather Frost leading the children in a traditional in-line dance.
