The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is happening on Sunday at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre in Red Deer.
Everyone who cares about the environment is encouraged to come and pick up debris along the shoreline of the Red Deer River to keep it clean and safe. After the cleanup is done, the fun begins. A barbecue and prize draw will be held to wrap up the 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. event.
There’s no need to preregister, but participants are asked to wear appropriate footwear and to bring gloves. For more information, please call 403-309-8411.
